Golestan Palace Museum to screen films produced during Qajar era

Iran Golestan Palace Museum is to restore and screen 21 reels of films produced during Qajar era.

Iran Golestan Palace Museum will screen 21 reels of films produced during Qajar era after their restoration in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

The films were produced during the reign of Qajar king Mozaffar ad-Din Shah (1853-1907). They show scenes of the historical events that occurred in the country over that time.

Before the public screening of the old collection, the films are first to be restored at a laboratory in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Iran witnessed a certain chapter of the film industry during the reign of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah who was deeply interested in cinematography.
